Indian Airlines represents one of the two most important carriers operating in India, the other being Air India. Its main base is situated in Delhi, while it’s three other hubs are located in Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai. Indian Airlines also has three focus cities located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Only two travel classes are featured on Indian Airlines these are Business Class (or Executive Class) and Economy Class, since the airline is a low cost carrier and its main focus is on domestic and cheaper routes.

Flying Returns is the name of the frequent flying programme offered by the carrier, which rewards loyal customers, based on the number of miles accrued by passengers. Benefits of the programme include free upgrades to the Executive Class, and free tickets to any destination that the airline flies to. The same benefits are applied to partners.

The airline has one subsidiary, Alliance Air, and it operates a fleet of all Airbus aircraft. Currently, Indian Airlines flies to Afghanistan, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Delhi, Colombo and Kuwait. The airline main competitors are Jet Airways (India) and Kingfisher Airlines.
