Aeroflot Russian Airlines or Aeroflot is the national carrier and the largest airline in Russia. Aeroflot dates back to the early 1920’s, and was once regarded as the world’s largest airline. Now the airline is based in Sheremetyevo International Airport and operates a fleet of Airbus, Boeing and Ilyushin Il aircraft. The airline also has a secondary hub in Vladivostok. This Russian airline offers both domestic and international flights, to over 95 destinations in 48 countries, with some of its major international flights being to New Zealand, Sydney, the United States and Egypt. Aeroflot use to fly to Singapore but that route was terminated.

Aeroflot is a member of Sky Team Alliance and has four subsidiaries including Nordavia, Aeroflot-Plus, Donavia and Aeroflot-Cargo. Currently, Aeroflot offers scheduled flights to several countries with some of its top destinations including London, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Perm, Frankfurt, Thailand, Madrid, Burma, New Delhi, The Philippines, Malaysia, Alma Ata, Baku, Kiev Simferopol and Tashkent. Aeroflot's main competitors include airlines such as British Airways and JSC S7 Airlines.
